A group of parents is to hold a protest demonstration in front of the Examinations Department and provincial educational offices today (Sep. 18).
They are protesting against the injustice faced by their children after several questions of the Grade 5 examination paper were found to be leaked from an examination centre in Anuradhapura area, shortly before the exam.
A team from the Department of Examinations is to leave for Anuradhapura today (Sep. 18) to probe the incident.
Statements have been already recorded from 06 teachers of the relevant examination centre.
Meanwhile, a decision has been taken to remove the three questions from the first paper of the examination, following a discussion held yesterday between the examiners, paper correction officers, and the Commissioner General of Examinations.
