Parliament approves VAT increase

The order under the Value Added Tax (VAT) which proposed to increase the VAT percentage from 15% – 18% was passed in Parliament with a majority of 36 votes today (April 02).

A total of 55 MPs voted in favour while 19 MPs voted against.
