A Police Constable (PC) attached to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was arrested by the Aduruppu Weediya Police on charges of possessing ‘ice’ drugs.
The PC was arrested near the Orugodawatta traffic lights.
Police have arranged for the arrested suspect to be examined by a doctor to determine whether he has taken in ‘ice’ apart from keeping the illegal drug in his possession.
