The trade union action launched by the Public Health Inspector’s Union of Sri Lanka has been called off.
Secretary of the Union S Bopitiya said trade union action was called off as they received a favourable response following discussions headed by the Health Minister and other officials including the Health Secretary.
The trade union action was launched based on several demands including increasing the transport allowance.
He added that trade union action will be launched once again if authorities fail to provide proper solutions.
