Police issues statement over Dehiwala murders
A 45-year-old man was shot dead by two unknown gunmen on a motorcycle near the Nedimala Grounds in Dehiwala today (Sep. 20).
The victim later succumbed to his injuries at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.
Police have said that today’s incident is not linked to the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election but is linked to the shooting incident in Badowita on Sep. 15 and the shooting incident in Kohuwala on Sep. 18.
The Dehiwala Police is conducting further investigations.
