ASP Sanjeewa Mahanama, who is sought over the shooting incident of former MP – Uddika Premarathne, has left for another country from Malaysia, reports say.
It is said that the CID has initiated a comprehensive investigation in this regard.
The CID has learnt that the ASP Mahanama, who had initially left for Malaysia with his family, had not spent at least a week in Malaysia.
According to reports, they have sought the assistance of INTERPOL to identify his whereabouts.
