The Minister of Power and Energy said that the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) would reduce power cuts during the weekends due to increase in hydro power generation as a result of prevailing weather conditions.
Tweeting, Minister Kanchana Wijesekera said : “If rain continues to the catchment areas, CEB will keep the power cuts to a minimum. However CEB will manage the water resources available for future power generation.”
