President Ranil Wickremesinghe left early this morning for a visit to Cuba and the US.
He was accompanied by a delegation and left the Katunayake Airport for Dubai at 03.15 am on Emirates flight EK-649.
From Dubai, the President will leave for the US.
He is to participate first in the G-77 Head of State Summit, which will be held from September 15 to 16 in Havana, Cuba.
Subsequently, he is scheduled to address the Heads of State Summit of the 78th Annual Session of the United Nations General Assembly in the US from September 19 to 21.
