25 Year 3 students of the Kahatagasdigilliya primary school were hospitalised due to food poisoning this morning (12 June).
This was after consuming breakfast provided by the school.
The students were complaining of itching, which the doctors at the Primary hospital of the area said were due to allergies as a result of the consumed food.
According to the principal of the school, the mother who was assigned with providing food for the 3A class had not been present today and as such, the mother who was assigned the 3C class had provided food for the 3A class as well.
