The Minister of Power and Energy – Kanchana Wijesekera has stated that the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is expected to hand over the proposals for the revision of electricity tariffs to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) within the next two days.
Wijesekera said this while addressing the Parliament this morning (20).
The minister also said that certain expenses of the CEB include costs associated with maintenance projects initiated over the past four years, which are set to conclude within the year.
However, the Ministry has recommended that the CEB distribute these expenses evenly over the course of the following three years, he added.
