A provincial journalist who was engaged in election reporting, has been assaulted in the Bogawantalawa area of Nuwara Eliya.
The journalist, Mr. S. Sathis, was rushed to the Bogawantalawa Divisional Hospital with grievous injuries after being assaulted on the head with a sharp instrument.
