The railway coastal belt has been completely obstructed due to a train derailment near the Panadura railway station.
The slow train from Panadura to Maradana derailed this morning (13 June); a carriage of the train had derailed and struck a signal post, completely disrupting the signal system.
A railway spokesman said a considerable time will be needed to sort out the situation.
