Several railway Trade Unions have decided to launch a 24-hour token strike from midnight today (March 05), as a mark of protest against reductions in their salaries.
railway controllers, drivers, and supervisory officers will also join this strike.
Despite engaging in discussions with the relevant authorities, the unions have not received a satisfactory response to their concerns, said K. D. Prasad, Secretary of one of the unions.
