General Secretary of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) – Mr. Ranjith Madduma Bandara says that the party has decided to appoint a committee to look into disciplinary action against MP Dr. Rajitha Senaratne.
Mr. Madduma Bandara said this in response to reports claiming that Dr. Senaratne would soon be expelled from SJB.”There is no point in keeping Rajitha in SJB now,” he added.
It has been decided to take action against MP Senaratne a few hours after party leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa had announced that party members who try to divide and destroy the SJB will be brought before a disciplinary Committee.
Earlier, SJB MP – S.M. Marikkar had also urged action against anyone who calls for consensus between the SJB and the UNP.
