Colombo Chief Magistrate – Prasanna Alwis has rejected a request by the police to prohibit a planned protest and march scheduled to held today (March 20) at the Vihara Mahadevi Park in Colombo.
The request was filed by the Cinnamon Gardens Police against the People’s Struggle Movement of the Frontline Socialist Party.
Rejecting the request, the Colombo Chief Magistrate allowed the demonstration to proceed as planned.
