Resignation of P.S.M.Charles not yet conveyed to EC
Issuing a statement, the Election Commission said that it had not yet been informed about the resignation of one of its members.
Accordingly, the EC said the activities related to the 2023 local government polls will be implemented as planned without any disruption.
However, it was reported yesterday that EC member P.S.M.Charles had sent a resignation letter to the President.

Iran – SL sign 5 MoUs (Video)
Iran and Sri Lanka signed five memorandums of understanding (MoUs), aimed at bolstering bilateral relations between the two countries.
The MoUs signed will cover cooperation in film, media, tourism, cooperatives, libraries, and cultural, scientific, technical, and sports fields between the two countries, the Presidential Media Division notes.
