The resolution to remove Public Utilities Commission Chairman Janaka Ratnayake will be included in the parliamentary agenda in the last week of April, government sources said.
Earlier, the Finance Ministry sent a two-page charge sheet to Mr. Ratnayake.
Mr. Ratnayake told the media that he had given a 25-page answer in response.
It is the responsibility of the Finance Ministry to take a decision regarding the allegations levelled against him and the answers he has made.
However, the resolution to be submitted in the House against him must be passed by a vote of at least 113 members.
Meanwhile, Mr. Rathnayake yesterday (4) said that the cost of electricity production has decreased due to several factors including the depreciation of the dollar and the drop in fuel prices.
