Several political parties signed an agreement to form an alliance as the ‘Samagi Jana Sandhanaya’.
Around 10 parties and groups including the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, The Sri Lanka Freedom Party faction led by Dayasiri Jayasekera, Mano Ganesan’s TPA, Rauff Hakeem’s SLMC, Nidahasa Janatha Sabhawa, Arjuna Ranatunga’s Purawesi Handa had signed the agreement to form this alliance to back SJB candidate Sajith Premadasa at the upcoming Presidential election.
The alliance was launched at an event held at the Sugathadasa Stadium today (Aug. 08).
