The Colombo Magistrate’s Court ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to retrieve the clothes worn by Janashakthi Group Director Dinesh Schaffter at the time of his death from the Government Analyst’s Department and forward them to the five-member medical experts committee appointed to find the cause of his death.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday (22) ordered the CID to submit all the video footage and all photographs taken by the Borella SOCO officers regarding the death of Mr. Schaffter to the experts committee immediately.
After considering the facts presented, the Magistrate ordered that the investigation reports be called again on September 5.
