The Education Ministry has taken steps to provide gift vouchers to schoolgirls to buy sanitary napkins.
The programme will be made available starting in 2024, under the direction of Dr. Susil Premajayantha, the Minister of Education.
For this aim, one billion rupees has been set aside.
Today (June 06) marked the launch of the gift voucher programme at Nawala President Girls’ College.
