The 2nd phase of the project to renovate the Northern railway line is to commence from Jan. 07, 2024.
From then, the Maho – Anuradhapura section of the line will be closed for a period of 06 months, the Railway Department’s Deputy General Manager – Mr. N.J. Indipolage states.
During this period, trains will ply only from Colombo – Maho and from Kankasanthurai – Anuradhapura.
