Nine new provincial Governors have been appointed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
They were sworn in before the President at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, a short while ago.
The newly appointed Governors are as follows:
– Central Province : Prof. Sarath Abeykoon (former Vice Chancellor, University of Peradeniya)
– Southern Province : Bandula Harischandra (former Senior Administrative Officer)
– Northern Province : Nagalingam Vedanayagam (former Government Agent of Jaffna)
– Sabaragamuwa Province : Champa Janaki
