Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most provinces of the island after 1.00 p.m, the Meteorology Department has stated.
Fairly heavy showers above 75mm are likely at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western and Uva provinces and in Galle and Kurunegala districts while also stating that several spells of showers may occur in Eastern province during the morning too.
The general public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
