Sri Lanka has received USD 250 million from the World Bank as budgetary support.
State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe said this is the first disbursement of the USD 500 million pledged by the World Bank.
The World Bank Board of Directors last week approved USD 700 million in financing for two operations to help Sri Lanka implement foundational reforms.
