SLFP stalwarts seek legal redress as new office bearers appointed

Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna and MP Duminda Dissanayake have said they will seek legal redress over being removed from key positions of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party today (March 30).

The SLFP has already appointed new members as the party’s Senior Vice President, Treasurer and National Organizer.

SLFP’s Mahiyanganaya Constituency Organizer K. P. Gunawardena was appointed to the post of National Organizer, which was previously held by Dissanayake.

Former Western Provincial Minister Hector Bethmage has been replaced by Alagiyawanna as the Treasurer while former Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake has been appointed as the Senior Vice President to replace Amaraweera.
