The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) convened last evening (5) where the issue of SLFP MPs joining the government was discussed at length, former President Maithripala Sirisena said.
“We discussed about the nine MPs who joined the government. A unanimous decision was taken regarding these MPs and on how we should proceed. The SLFP moves forward efficiently. We also think that the SLFP is the only acceptable option in this era,” he said.
Meanwhile, former MP Thilanga Sumathipala said that the party will review the decision taken on the MPs who joined the government in line with the new Constitution.
