The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) has reportedly urged the President Ranil Wickremesinghe to appoint a fresh Cabinet rather than continuing the Cabinet of Ministers under former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The current Cabinet ministers were sworn in again before the new President.
Noting that since a large number of ministers hold opinions contradictory to that of the SLPP, they should not be considered as ministers representing them, the SLPP had said.
Therefore, the SLPP has urged to appoint a fresh Cabinet while considering suggestions of their party as well.
