Speaker criticizes opposition’s conduct
Speaker – Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena today (02) noted that the conduct of certain opposition MPs are extremely unpleasant.
Speaking to Chief Opposition Whip – Lakshman Kiriella, he said, “All of you are aware that some MPs stand up and speak by force and nothing is being done to stop it. It is very regrettable. Keeping the group under control is not my responsibility but yours,” he said.
He also added that certain the time of the chamber is also wasted when MPs go on about things of no importance.
