Deputy Speaker of Parliament – Ajith Rajapakse announced to the House today (March 21) that the Speaker endorsed the certificate on the Bills yesterday (20).
Accordingly, Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Bill and Value Added Tax (Amendment) Bill received the assent of the Hon. Speaker.
Accordingly, the said Bills will come to effect as the Social Security Contribution Levy (Amendment) Act No. 15 of 2024 and Value Added Tax (Amendment) Act No. 16 of 2024 with effect from yesterday (20).
