The Department of Examinations has made an announcement with regard to the 2024 (2025) G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination, which will be held from March 17-26 in 3663 exam centres islandwide.
Addressing the media yesterday (March 06), Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara said 474,147 students are eligible to sit for the examination this year.
Admissions
He added that admission cards of school students have been sent to their relevant schools, while those of private candidates have been sent to their residences.
Any changes to the admission cards can be done online via the Exam Department’s website www.doenets.lk before March 10, he stated.
School students who are yet to receive their admission cards have been requested to make inquiries from the Exam Department through their school principals while private candidates can directly make inquiries from the Exam Department.
Tuition
The Department also says that conducting and organizing tuition classes, revision classes, seminars, workshops and assistance over social or other electronic media etc. aimed at students scheduled to sit for the examination will be prohibited from midnight on 11 March 2025.
Strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules, the Commissioner General of Examinations noted.
