Minister of Highways, Transport, and Mass Media – Dr. Bandula Gunawardena has said that it is unlikely that the reconstruction work on the Northern railway track will be completed before the upcoming Poson Poya.
Responding to a question during the cabinet briefing held today (May 28), the minister said work on the Northern railway line could be completed by August this year.
He also said that a special bus service will be implemented on the ‘Poson Poya’ day and the day before.
The Minister further stated that an announcement in this regard will be made.
