The Bureau of Rehabilitation has launched a special facility in Vavuniya to rehabilitate women addicted to dangerous drugs.
With a capacity to support 100 women, the center will operate under court orders to assist women battling addiction.
The Commissioner General of Rehabilitation has informed the Ministry of Justice, Prison Affairs, and Constitutional Reforms about the center, and the Judicial Service Commission has notified all judges to refer women drug addicts in need of rehabilitation to this new facility.
