The annual Sri Pada pilgrim season for this year will commence from the Unduvap Full Moon Poya Day which falls on Dec. 26, before ending on the Vesak Poya Day next year.
Sri Padastanadhipathi Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Maha Nayaka Thera had announced this at a special discussion held at the Nallathanniya GN office yesterday (09).
During the meeting, it was discussed at length on the facilities that are to be provided to the pilgrims.
Also, Nuwara Eliya District Secretary – Nandana Galaboda has urged public not to bring polythene and plastic with them, while coming on pilgrimage.
