A bus belonging to SriLankan Airlines caught fire at the Katunayake Airport Saturday night (30), it was reported.
The bus was on its way to pick up passengers of a flight that arrived at the airport from Melbourne, Australia when it caught fire.
It has taken hours for the fire fighters to put out the fire.
A grave accident has been averted since the bus on fire was not near a flight or a fuel tank.
This is the first time that an air passenger bus caught fire in an airport terminal.
