The strike launched by the doctors and staff of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital has been called off.
According to the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA), the decision was taken following talks with relevant authorities.
Meanwhile, the islandwide strike launched by the GMOA too, ended at 08.00 am today (March 13).
The GMOA had announced their decision to strike following the recent rape of a lady doctor at her official quarters at the hospital premises earlier this week.
