The academic and non-academic staff of the University of Ruhuna have stated that they will continue to strike until the Vice Chancellor – Prof. Sujeewa Amarasena is removed from his position.
The strike has been continuing since yesterday (Nov. 19).
A protest was staged by university students in the university premises yesterday afternoon, in support of this demand.
