Mr. Sudath Chandreskara has resigned from the position of Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and from the membership of the National Sports Council.
Responding to ‘Sri Lanka Mirror’, Mr. Chandrasekara said that he had handed over the resignation letter today (08).
Noting that he is dejected due to the conduct of former Test captain – Arjuna Ranatunga, who is the chairman of the National Sports Council, Mr. Chandrasekara said that he decided to resign as he cannot see eye to eye on certain aspects and due to the non existence of a suitable working environment to work with a clear mind.
