Colombo Fort Magistrate – Thilina Gamage has summoned five directors of Hotel Colombo Ltd. (Grand Oriental Hotel) to appear before the court on Feb. 17th due to the non-payment of over Rs. one crore that was supposed to be paid as arrears budget relief allowance to company employees of the company.
Summons have been issued to the directors – Jayampathi Charitha Ratwatte, Egogedera Dhanapala Sumanasiri, Kanchana Ratwatte, Ratnasekara Arachchige Rasangika Priyadarshani and Dhammika Pushpakumara.
A case was filed at the Colombo Fort Magistrate Court by the Assistant Labor Commissioner of the South Colombo District Labor Office last year.
