A 44-year old teacher of a school in Tambuttegama has been arrested for sending obscene pictures and messages to a 14-year-old schoolgirl through WhatsApp.
After the parents of the student complained to the Probation and Child Care Services Office, the police arrested the teacher yesterday (30).
The teacher, who is a resident of Tambuttegama, is scheduled to be produced in the Tambuttegama Magistrate’s Court today (31).
