Tech faculty at Ruhuna Uni. closed for a week
The Faculty of Technology of the Ruhuna University has been closed for one week from today (27) following an incident last night, reports say.
Accordingly, students have been asked to vacate the university premises by 2.00pm today.
According to reports, a sub warden of the campus had gone to investigate after residents had complained of a loud noise near the hostels and upon his return to his quarters, a group of students had assaulted him, his wife and his mother.
The two females had been hospitalised after being injured in the attack, reports say.
