Thalatha reminds Parliament of Mangala’s prediction
Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP – Thalatha Athukorala today (17) reminded Parliament about a prediction made by the late Finance Minister – Mangala Samaraweera.
Speaking at the Budget debate, she reminded that Mr. Samaraweera had warned that Sri Lanka will be able to progress as a country if financial management is properly done, but would go bankrupt in 2022 if not.
MP Athukorala also reminded that many had made fun of Mr. Samaraweera when he took measures to implement a price formula.
She also said that measures taken by Gotabhaya Rajapaksa had led to the current state of bankruptcy.
