A house in Wellamadama, Dewinuwara, owned by recently deceased minister – Ronnie de Mel has been burgled, Gandara police says.
The premises, which was once used as an office of the later minister, is now in a dilapidated state, police add.
The thieves, who had entered the premises through an entrance at the back, had stolen 37 brass door hinges and a commode.
A complaint had been lodged by the security guard at the premises and further investigations are underway.
