The Criminal Investigation Department has revealed that Thilini Priyamali, the notorious owner of the Thico Group, had planned to hold a massive concert in Sri Lanka with the participation of Bollywood superstar – Amitabh Bachchan.
It is said that she had been planning the concert while she was arrested. It has been revealed that she had planned to invite many prominent figures including celebrities and politicians to this star studded event.
The CID has also learnt that over Rs. 35 million had been spent on the “Mayajala” movie muhurat held by Thilini Priyamali’s Thico Film Company at the Shangri-la Hotel in Colombo on March 19 this year. The event, touted as the biggest Mururath held in the history of Sri Lanka, was attended by ministers and popular Indian actress Mouni Roy.
Investigations have revealed that Thilini Priyamali has used the publicity gained at the event to accelerate her fraudulent activities.
