Three people were killed and five others injured when a van collided with two lorries at Panichchankulam in Mankulam on the A9 Road today (15).
The Mankulam Police said the van travelling from Colombo to Jaffna collided with the rear of a lorry parked near the road and then collided with another lorry next to it.
Three residents of Wellampitiya, Mulleriyawa and Jaffna aged 38, 46 and 58 died in the accident.
The injured were admitted to the Kilinochchi Hospital and the Mankulam Hospital.
