Health and Media Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa has announced that the Government had decided to modernise and develop the Thriposha Company in Kandana, operating under the Health and Media Ministry and continue it as a State-owned enterprise to fulfill the nutritional needs of the nation.
The Minister revealed this decision during a discussion held on Saturday (Jan. 04) with officials to review the current status and future development plans of the Thriposha Company.
The Minister had highlighted that previous Governments failed to implement structured and goal-oriented strategies to maximise benefits of this vital national enterprise for the public.
He also added that the current Government is committed to reviving Thriposha Company as an active institution addressing the nutritional needs of Sri Lankans, reversing previous plans to shut it down.
