Two traders have been slapped with a staggering fine of over Rs. 01 million by a court for selling eggs for a higher price.
One trader from Avissawella was fined Rs. 1,020,000 while another trader from Dematagoda was fined Rs. 100,000 for the same offence.
Meanwhile, 04 traders in Anuradhapura town have also been fined Rs. 100,000 each for violating the MRP imposed on eggs.
