Police have announced traffic restrictions in the stretch between 143 – 144 km posts on the Badulla-Bibile Road in the Passara police division.
The road will remain open for traffic from 6:30 am – 6:00 pm today (Nov. 25), and will be closed from 6:00 pm – 6:00 am tomorrow (Nov. 26).
Following an earth slip on Nov. 18, traffic restrictions were initially imposed and the site was inspected by the Executive Engineer of the National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) and the Road Development Authority (RDA) yesterday (Nov. 24).
However, Police further stated that the opening hours of the road may vary depending on weather conditions.
