Sri Lanka Railways will restart services on the Anuradhapura – Maho section of the Northern line from Monday (Oct. 28).
Accordingly, the Yal Devi train will depart from Fort to Kankesanthurai at 5:45 am on Monday (Oct. 28) while the Rajarata Rajina will run from Beliatta to Anuradhapura at 1:45 pm later in the day before returning on Tuesday at 5:30 am.
However, he urged residents at unmanned crossings along the Maho–Anuradhapura stretch to remain careful when crossing the railway lines.
The Anuradhapura – Maho section of the Northern Railway Line was scheduled to be reopened several times but was repeatedly delayed due to the failure to install the signaling system.
