The Army has been deployed in 22 state run hospitals to assist services amid the health workers’ strike.
At least 600 soldiers have been deployed in 22 hospitals so far.
Meanwhile, Navy and Air Force personnel too are to be deployed in hospitals, reports say.
An estimated 100,000 workers were due to take part in the strike which commenced at 6.30 a.m. today.
