One person is reported dead while two others have been injured in a shooting incident at Midigama in Matara.
Police said that two unidentified gunmen who arrived on a motorcycle had opened fire at them.
Meanwhile, another shooting had taken place at around 10.00 pm last night (Sep. 18) inside a shop at Saranankara Road in Kohuwala police area.
The shop owner, a 43-year-old resident of Nedimala in Dehiwala, had succumbed to injuries after being admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital following the shooting.
According to reports, this shooting incident has also been reportedly carried out by two unidentified gunmen who had arrived on a motorcycle.
